JWs about blood transfusions?

They do it because they are a fanatical cult, nothing more, nothing less. My ex-girlfriend was a JW and during our relationship I got a peek inside the workings of this "religion", and my word they are one rabid lot. They follow the bible's obscure (hey, lets' face it, it was written in Hebrew, translated into Aramaic, then Latin, then English at a much later date...none of which will transliterate accurately into the next language) instructions not to drink blood, which is a fine principle, but a bit of a stretch from there to blood transfusions. Having seen the JW's close up, and how they totally brainwash their children into believing this garbage, I am certain that they are the most utterly detestable cult operating today.
