Do men naturally develop feelings/emotions for the women who gave birth to his child?

The other parent is separate from the child. I love my daughter more than anything. My ex treated me so badly that I cannot help but feel ill whenever he has visitations with my daughter, meaning I have to see him. He obviously never loved me to treat me like that. It sounds like your expectations are highly idealistic.
